Act 1, scene 1 The Bishop of Canterbury informs the Bishop of Ely of a bill threatening Church revenues and of a plan to postpone it by justifying King Henry’s invasion of France to claim the French throne.He apologizes for the scanty resources that are available and urges the audience to use its imagination to make up for them. Prologue The Chorus wishes for a far greater stage, actors, and audience.The play’s epilogue points out that Henry will die young and that England will as a result lose most of his French territories. Through this, the band implies that it is important for people to identify the sources of these rumors and put a stop to them, in order to be free from the negativity that they bring. The chorus encourages listeners to 'seek these ones' who have wrong-colored rumors, and in doing so, 'tear the last knife from your back.'. The lines 'Who is venom to our truths? / Is there still someone somewhere / Who is venom to our truths?' express the frustration of not being able to trust anyone, as somebody is always trying to undermine the truth. The second verse reflects on how the current generation has colonized the world and, at the same time, killed their own kind. The band released it's debut album in the autumn of 2009 and completed 3 full US tours. Soon after completing Color Lines, the band’s management handed a copy off to Sumerian Records label founder Ash Avildsen, who made them an offer on the spot. Having played only a handful of “one-off” shows and a couple of mini-tours, it was decided that in the summer of 2008 they would record their first EP, “Color Lines”. It wasn’t long before they started practicing many hours a day, six times a week in order to develop and perfect their unique, grandiose sound.Īlthough early on touring was impractical due to school, Circle of Contempt were still capable of building a strong fan base throughout Europe, and especially Finland. Formed in 2005 originally under the moniker Thrust Moment these Pori, Finland metalers Riku Haavisto, Risto-Matti Toivonen, Markus Karhumäki and JP Kaukonen got together and combined their intense passion for powerful progressive metal into one unstoppable unit.
